I heard of Jamaican Black Castor oil, Nisim Fast, and something like Doo gro Idk if that's right most likely not. and Hair, skin, and nail vitamins, Biotin Vitamins too.
Answer by Emilea♥
you get biotin tablets. its called "hair, skin, & nails" its in a pink box. you can find it at walmart in the vitamin and supplement section in health&beauty. i get them. they make your nails grow faster, and make them harder. it also helps clear up your skin a little. and the best part?.. makes your hair grow faster! and personally i think it lools healthier too. it takes 2 or three weeks to notice effects though. at least it did for me =] oh, and the bottle only costs around 9 bucks =]

When I was 5 years old, my grandmother gave me a "home" perm. She left the waving solution on for almost 3 hours because she fell asleep. It ruined my long, thick hair so bad, the beautician was combing clumps of oi out. My hair has never been the same. I am now 34 and I buy over the counter prenatal vitamins. They have helped my hair to grow and get back some of the thickness. Also try going to a good beautician, there are hair products you can order to help restore your hairs stability. I just cant afford them!

Hair, on average, grows about 6 inches a year. There is nothing really you can do to speed it up, except eat a healthy diet, drink plenty of water, and don't use too much product on your hair (including coloring, perming, etc. that can damage it).
Answer by Gloria
Getting your hair relaxed can actually damage your hair enough for your hair to break which causes your hair to look the same length. Just try not to do anything relating strong chemicals for a while and you'll start noticing the difference on growth. You can always take a vitamin supplement to make sure it's healthy.

The first tip is to try not to damage your hair. Use heat on it as little as possible. Damaged hair takes longer to grow. Also, trim it regularly. Again the dead ends will slow down the growing process. Deep condition your hair once a week and drink lots of water. You just have to keep your hair healthy and the faster it will grow.

There is a vitaimin supplement called - Hair, Skin, and Nails. It has all the necessary nutrients that are needed to help make your hair grow, and stay shiny, skin smooth and clear, and nails long and strong. If you plan on going to the health food store to buy them check out the label, and compare it to a regular multi vitamin, which also contains many nutrients that we need every day. I say this, because I use to take the H,S, N product, and I ran out, but still use a MV and my nails are longer than ever, and they have stayed stronger and longer for a longer amount of time.
Back to your hair... it is also good to know that your hair grows the fastest and most when we have more daylight hours. Which is now, during the summer! This should stay the same until probably October when it slows down for the shorter winter months.
Thanks for reading!

Someone keeps giving me thumbs down for suggesting henna all the time, but I'm doing it anyway!
Using body art quality henna on your hair will help thicken it, strengthen it (which will help it grow without breaking), soften it, smooth it, and relax it. There are multiple mixtures depending on what your hair color is. Its all-natural and won't damage your hair.
Everything you need is at www.hennaforhair.com, including different mixtures. I guess some people don't like it because they buy stuff at the store that says "all-natural henna" when it's actually laced with harsh metals that can melt your hair. I do NOT get my henna like that. That's why its referred to as "body art quality henna." I've been using it for 2 1/2 years and never had a problem with it.
EDIT: Sur La Mer, body art quality henna is not dangerous at all. "Boxed hennas," or premixed henna, is laced with harsh metals that will MELT hair, and are NOT to be used. I adamantly caution people against those types, which I have already stated. All natural henna, is just a crushed leaf, and not dangerous or toxic.
EDIT...AGAIN: Google "henna for hair warning" and it comes up with wanrings for COMPOUND henna, this is not the same thing as body art quality henna.

There's this shampoo called Main 'n' Tail shampoo. It thickens your hair after 1-3 bottles. This shampoo was used for horses but its now used for people too. You can get this a Wal - Mart or Rite Aid.

There's really no magic trick to growing your hair fast. PERSONALLY, the less often I wash my hair, the faster it grows... but that can weird out some people! (At one point in time, I washed my hair every two weeks... in just a few months it grew from shoulder length almost to my waist.)
An average head of hair grows half an inch a month. Be sure you eat right and get some exercise, and ditch any bad habits you may have (smoking, drinking excessively, frequent coloring, etc). Some medications may affect hair growth so talk to your doctor if you're on any sort of prescription meds... you might find an alternative to whatever you're taking. Supplements are great, particularly biotin, collagen, L-lysine, fish oil, etc. Be sure to condition well to keep your hair beautiful and healthy as it grows :)

there is no products or anything special to grow your hair faster than its natural growth time period. your hair grows half a mm every night usually. but if your hair is very healthy it should grow 1-1.5 mm every night

I'm glad your scoliosis was treated. I'm African-American too. So, I would tell you to make sure the shampoo and conditioner you are using is natural. Ex: Carol's Daughter is what I use.
Do Scalp Massages Nightly (with oil: use rosemary oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, and vitamin e oil) you can also do a scalp massage without these oils. But I reccomend doing the oils because it opens your pours and speeds up growth.
Also make sure the pills you are taking has MSM, silica, biotin of course, and folic acid.
I'm also on a a 6 month hair journey, for prom. I hope we both meet our goals. Good luck!
Btw if your doing the oil treatment, mix them together, do not add them into your hair seperatly
