I would recommend pills since it will whiten the skin evenly, and there are products out there that whitens the skin and gives it a healthy glow. I found this while browsing multiply site:

1. You should go to A vet. Not necessarily the "yours". Glucosamine, though you can buy it over the counter can be regulated in dosages. If you're dog needs 5mg and you end up buying a good brand (which ever that may be) in 15mg, you're poinsoning you dog.
2. Nutro brand dog food has glucosamine IN the dog food already. That may help as an additive.
Good Luck

they don't work . usually none of the creams and lotions get absorbed by skin the way you imagine. only moisturizers make the skin looks better by the appearance. i read about laser removal of those marks. you can search it more.

Then you need to go back to the doctor. I assume you mean a dermatologist.....right? There are many medications...oral and topical.....that can be tried. It may just take trying a couple to get the right combination for your skin. I've been there before. I finally got the right antibiotic and topical cream and my skin cleared up beautifully. And mine had been REALLY bad as a teen. I mean the kind where you are too embarrassed to go to school. It's stayed beautiful, too.
