  1. From oneaday.com - Ingredients: Calcium Carbonate, Cellulose, Magnesium Oxide, Ascorbic Acid, Ferrous Fumarate, Corn Starch, Maltodextrin, dl-Alpha-Tocopheryl Acetate, Acacia, Croscarmellose Sodium, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Dextrin, Hypromellose, Magnesium Stearate, Dicalcium Phosphate, Gelatin, Niacinamide, Silicon Dioxide, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Manganese Sulfate, Polyethylene Glycol, Cupric Sulfate, Dextrose, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Glucose, Soy Lecithin, Riboflavin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin A Acetate, Chromium Chloride, Folic Acid, Beta-Carotene, FD&C Yellow #5 (tartrazine) Lake, FD&C Yellow #6 Lake, Sodium Selenate, Biotin, Phytonadione, FD&C Blue #2 Lake, Cholecalciferol, Tricalcium Phosphate, Cyanocobalamin.

Their different products may differ slightly in ingredients, but they all seem to have the ones that are not vegetarian or vegan. Gelatin is obtained by boiling the collagen out of skin, bones, and connective tissue of animals. Their website FAQ states their gelatin comes from "beef, pork, or a combination of both." Cholecalciferol is vitamin D3 that comes from irradiating material from the lanolin in sheep wool, so it would not be vegan. Vitamin D2, ergocalciferol, is the vegan form of vitamin D in supplements.

The answer is no-- One-a-day is not suitable for vegetarians and vegans. But there are supplements available that are okay for vegans to take. Check your labels, or look for "vegetarian" on the labels to make it easier. Here is one example of a vegan multi http://www.devanutrition.com/multivitamin.html
