Does anyone have any good advice to help diminish the appearance of dark under eye circles or as I call them, racoon eyes? I know there are many causes for this and in my case it's hereditary. Should I use a concealer that's lighter or darker than my natural skin tone? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

Use a concealer thats lighter...but apply it to a larger area than just under your eyes or your eyes will look weird & lighter than your whole face

Uugghh...I opened your question because I have the same problem, I was hoping for great answers!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I do know that concealer a shade lighter than your skin color can help, if applied under the whole undereye area, not just where the dark circles are. You have to blend it in, and then cover with the foundation.
Star for you, and I'll check back for other advice!
For permanent skin tone balance, use a fade cream that is not too harsh (usually twice a day); be sure to use something mild because the skin under the eyes is extremely sensitive. For makeup, first use an under-eye concealer that is lighter than your skin tone, then blend it carefully with foundation and/or powder.
ReplyDeleteHope this helps.
Verseo has a product for that.
ReplyDeleteUsing a slightly lighter concealer will help, but only apply it to the area that is darker. If you apply it to a larger area then you are not correcting the problem, you still have a darker and a lighter area under your eye.
ReplyDeleteIt helps to use a primer under your makeup to make an smooth, even surface for the makeup to adhere to. Benefit makes a great product called "Boi-ing" that is a really great concealer made specially for under-eye circles. You can buy it at Sephora.com (or any Sephora store). Good luck :)
