How can I get rid of stretch marks?

Question by peexinxmyxpants: How can I get rid of stretch marks?
I have gotten stretch marks on the sides of my legs, about around the area of my hips, on each side. There aren't many, but I've had them ever since I started going through puberty. What can I do to get rid of them?

  3. pure vitamin E oil that is what saved me from getting them when I was pregnant,it is kind of expensive but totally worth it coco butter just clogged my skin, also baby oil after a shower before you dry off, good luck but if you listen to me you will not need it

  4. * Skin Creams and Lotions – Lotions containing cocoa butter are rumored to not only help reduce stretch marks, but to help prevent them entirely. Any cream or oil that is made specifically for the prevention or treatment of stretch marks will help keep your skin healthy and elastic.

    * Vitamin A, E & C – Supplementing these vitamins may help increase the strength and elasticity of the collagen within your skin and reducing your chance of forming stretch marks.

    * Stay hydrated.

    # Time – Stretch marks, like all types of scarring fade over time.

    # Retin-A (Tretinoin) – 0.1% Tretinoin creams have been shown to significantly reduce the appearance of stretch marks. These creams work best when used on fresh stretch marks.

    # Exfoliate daily – use a loofah or scrunchy to remove daily.

    # Stretch Mark Creams and Lotions – Using creams and lotions that heal and beautify your skin can reduce the appearance of stretch marks. The following ingredients are widely accepted as beneficial for this purpose:

    * Cocoa butter
    * Rose hip oil
    * Emu oil
    * Jojoba oil
    * Castor oil
    * Shea butter
    * Vitamin A, E & C

    # Vic’s Vapor Rub – Many people have reported success using Vic’s Vapor rub by applying it to a washcloth or paper towel and rubbing it forcefully into the scarred skin on a nightly basis for a few weeks.

    # Increase Circulation – by taking hot baths and massaging the areas regularly.

    # Tanning – Go sunbathing! Tanning can diminish and even eliminate minor stretch marks. Be sure to use sun screen.

    # Vitamin E Gel – Break open vitamin E capsules and rub the oil into the skin over the stretch marks daily for 2 weeks.

  5. There is a lot of stretch mark treatment available on the market these days. Some treatments are more effective in fading or even eliminating stretch marks, but the success of the treatment depends on a few different things. First of all is the color and age of the stretch marks. If they have faded to a flesh color they are much harder to heal. Second of all, ethnicity and heredity play a role in which creams, oils and other products or equipment will succeed in healing stretch marks.

    The cheapest stretch mark treatment available is creams made especially for stretch marks. The most effective creams contain ingredients such as cocoa butter, lanolin and wheat germ oil. These creams actually heal and rebuild the damaged skin. While they may not be able to completely eliminate stretch marks, they may at least make the stretch marks fade to a barely visible scar. A good recommendation will be Palmer Cocoa Butter Cream.
