anything that can help your skin heal faster, shea butter, vitamen E, mederma (is medicated), anything moisturizing. And have 2 do it constantly while the stretchmarks are red
get some strech mark cream... and exresize, u gota put it on everyyday... i have them and i need to get some better cream cuz they never go away.. getting worse i think... :( anways i wish i would have used more lotion b4 i got them cuz lotion prevents them... u get them cuz the skin streches ether from fat, muscles, or just growth, lotion prevents them, and normal lotion dont cure them but get some spreacial lotion..
you get them because your skin is stretching too fast (usually due to weight gain) for it to create more. Thus, the top layer of the skin essentially tears, since your fat sits inbetween the muscle & skin layer. They will fade over time, but quite honestly, there is no non-surgical treatment to get rid fo them effectively. You can try to rub mederma (the scar cream) on them, and that can help, but otherwise for complete removal you will need to see a dermatologist. There are a couple different (extremely painful) ways they get rid of them. One is to numb the skin with a freezing agent and use a type of sanding method similar to sand paper down to a lower level of the skin tissue, to allow the top layers of the skin to regrow normally. You can also try Vitamin E oil to help rebuild the skin. Unfortunately you can't really do much to get rid of them... but most everyone has them!
Mederma can work wonders but you have to keep up with it to make it work, just like any other beauty routine. Stretch marks can occur because of weight gain or loss and growth spurts as well. It happens to a lot of people so it is nothing to be ashamed/embarrassed of.
i was watching the doctors on television and they mentioned that stretch marks sometimes doesnt fully go away but cocoa butter and other lotions or fading cream can fade the appreance of them.
They are caused by tearing of the dermis, and over time can diminish but not disappear completely. Stretch marks are influenced by hormonal changes associated with puberty, pregnancy, muscle building etc. Although stretch marks are generally associated with pregnancy and obesity, they can also develop during rapid muscle growth.
* Skin Creams and Lotions – Lotions containing cocoa butter are rumored to not only help reduce stretch marks, but to help prevent them entirely. Any cream or oil that is made specifically for the prevention or treatment of stretch marks will help keep your skin healthy and elastic.
* Vitamin A, E & C – Supplementing these vitamins may help increase the strength and elasticity of the collagen within your skin and reducing your chance of forming stretch marks.
* Stay hydrated.
# Time – Stretch marks, like all types of scarring fade over time.
# Retin-A (Tretinoin) – 0.1% Tretinoin creams have been shown to significantly reduce the appearance of stretch marks. These creams work best when used on fresh stretch marks. (do not use this is you are currently pregnant though)
# Exfoliate daily – use a loofah or scrunchy to remove daily.
# Stretch Mark Creams and Lotions – Using creams and lotions that heal and beautify your skin can reduce the appearance of stretch marks. The following ingredients are widely accepted as beneficial for this purpose:
* Cocoa butter * Rose hip oil * Emu oil * Jojoba oil * Castor oil * Shea butter * Vitamin A, E & C
# Vic’s Vapor Rub – Many people have reported success using Vic’s Vapor rub by applying it to a washcloth or paper towel and rubbing it forcefully into the scarred skin on a nightly basis for a few weeks.
# Increase Circulation – by taking hot baths and massaging the areas regularly.
# Tanning – Go sunbathing! Tanning can diminish and even eliminate minor stretch marks. Be sure to use sun screen.
# Vitamin E Gel – Break open vitamin E capsules and rub the oil into the skin over the stretch marks daily for 2 weeks
I have been using Palmer's Tummy Butter which I started using after I got stretch marks on my breasts, but have not gotten any on my stomach. The ones on my breast are rapidly fading but new ones formed on my breasts because at first i applied it when convenient.... Not daily. Now I use it daily. I have heard of bio oil and some people swear by it so I would like to get some and try it.
Either way, stretch marks are permanent but your genes will determine what they will look like in the future. Luckily, stretchmarks I have had in the past have completely became undetectable. Good luck with yours
