Is it possible to get rid of a developing scar on my hand?

Question by kkhassandra!: Is it possible to get rid of a developing scar on my hand?
My hand got burnt by hot water about a week ago.

It's still healing, but I can tell there's going to be an UGLY scar left behind. The outside is all wrinkly and rough/tough. I can't really feel anything on that part. The healing part is still red.

Can I get rid of the scar? Any creams for hands?

If it's still healing you can use vitamin e.
Vitamin e will heal quicker and not leave back any scars :)

  3. It's only been a week, so the scar will look worse than it will end up. Hands actually heal really well.

Use a high vitamin A or retinol-based oil (I know that Environ EssentiA oil works well), but since it's only been a week, I would be using pure aloe vera gel with a capsule of vitamin E mixed in and applied a few times daily (as often as you remember).

Take a zinc supplement as well as vitamin C as they form part of the collagen matrix to create new skin cells and seal the scar.

If it was a bad burn, the feeling may not fully come back for 6 months, but it will come back, and in that time you will continue to see the scar diminish.

Don't stress, seriously. It will heal.
