Why should vitamin c be taken after myofascial release?

Question by Trina: Why should vitamin c be taken after myofascial release?
I heard that after having a myofascial release treatment done that a person should take vitamin c. Why should you do this? What does it do for the body?

  1. There is no reason. You can't boost the immune system; that's just a vague claim unproven products are allowed to use.

    Vit C is essential for good quality collagen synthesis which is the fabric that holds together most tissues.
    Some more collagen than normal may be laid down after a session of this.
    Hovever, you shouldn't need to supplement unless you are deficient.
    Taking some will not harm you though.
