i am slim but i have cellulite on my abs?

Question by J A: i am slim but i have cellulite on my abs?
I need to know please how to handle this. It doesn't make sense that a slim woman has cellulite.

well cellulite and fat are different. Cellulite is a type of fat that cause pain when you touch it. Now that we have that out of the way the reason you have fat is because the body requires fat to survive, women need more of it then men as such you have the tendency to be a bit plumper. if assuming you aren't extremely fat it'll look good and make you look healthy.

  1. My doctor offered this once, a prescription cream...Aminophylline... as a way of reducing fat cells (not removing)..such as cellulite. he said it was fairly harmless...so cant hurt to try. ask your doctor.

    Aminophylline is a medication usually prescribed for asthma patients. It is a bronchodilator which opens the lung passageway. Aminophylline works by relaxing muscles in your lungs and chest to allow more air in. As an oral medication, aminophylline must be prescribed by a doctor.

    However, many people are using aminophylline topically to reduce cellulite. When used topically, aminophylline does not require a prescription.
    You may be wondering what an asthma medication does to fight cellulite.
    So how does aminophylline fight cellulite?

    The claims are that aminophylline applied topically to the skin dissolve fat on contact.
    Is this true? Well, not necessarily. Aminophylline when applied topically works to dehydrate skin.     Does aminophylline really get rid of cellulite?

    Unfortunately most successful claims derive from testimonials. There has been no objective evidence to prove that aminophylline works to reduce cellulite. In fact, all the studies to test aminophylline have been conducted by professionals promoting aminophylline in their products. One aminophylline study which gained much notoriety was published in Obesity Research. They claimed a positive reduction of cellulite with aminophylline use. However, the validity of the claims can be put into question since one of the authors was marketing an aminophylline cream being sold at the time.

    Doubt about aminophylline's capability in reducing cellulite was also published in the journal, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The study tested three different cellulite treatments, including aminophylline. Researchers investigated the effects of three groups of women.

    One group received endermologie treatments, the second group received a placebo cream, and the third group was treated with aminophylline cream. The conclusion was, there was no statistical difference in measurements between legs for any of the treatment groups.

  2. Most skinny women are fat...I am a trainer... see it all the time.
    It is called skinny fat. This is usually from a poor diet and lack of exercise, and then not eating anything or only eating small amounts of garbage..then not eating again because they feel guilty they ate a whole box of ho hos.
    Contrary to other posts...cellulite is fat...(not sure where they came up with that). It is just how the fat is formed and deposited under the skin. Fat tissue does not contain nerve receptors so it can not hurt...that is like saying your hair hurts...however,they were correct to point out women tend to hold more fat then guys....many reasons for this we will not get into at this point.

    You just have a layer of fat covering your abs...don't worry, this is pretty normal for most people.
    Here is a simple solution for you.

    Start eating clean..stay away from high GI (glycemix index) foods..eat like a diabetic should be eating control your insulin levels.
    Eat small, frequent meals...and taper off carbs later in the day...and yes you can eat at night..just don't have any carbs before bedtime...have a protein shake.
    Eat enough clean proteins and good fats..this may require you to use a protein shake..it doesn't matter how you get the amino acids into your body at this point.
    Start some form of resistance or weight training..this will help you 2 ways...it will increase insulin sensitivity, and increase your BMR (basal metabolic rate)..this is how many calories you burn just sitting around being a couch potato.
    Start doing cardio 30 minutes first thing in the morning before eating and after weight training...blood sugar levels are at there lowest points here so you force the body to utilize fat stores for energy

  3. Cellulite has nothing to do with your soma type or how slim you are because it's not just fat.

    Here's the sad truth about cellulite. Cellulite is not fat, it's a genetic-based condition involving an uneven distribution of adipose (fat) and collagen tissues and once you have it, you will probably have it for life. However, because cellulite involves fat, you may be able to reduce the prominence of it by burning fat. Unfortunately, cellulite seems to present in those areas where fat tends to leave last...buttocks and thighs. So, reducing the cellulite effect will, for most people, require burning excess fat to a very low body fat percent....something which usually means a serious lifestyle change and commitment to proper eating habits for life with no guarantees.

    Exercise won't help beyond burning a few more calories so plan your workouts around fitness goals such as excellence in a sport or occupation, strength, endurance, flexibility, systemic fitness, general health and well being, body sculpting, body awareness, coordination, poise and comportment, balance, body composition, mental acuity, educational experience, etc. Don't exercise with the hope it will help make cellulite disappear.

    "A great deal of money is spent by people who want to rid themselves of cellulite, but no amount of weight loss, exercise, massages, wraps, creams, supplements, or surgery has proven to effectively eliminate it once you have it. Liposuction, for instance, is not recommended for cellulite, and may even make it look worse."

    Given that the abdomen is an unusual place to have cellulite, you may want to examine the problem area to ensure what you're seeing is in fact cellulite. Make sure what you have is cellulite before giving up hope. WebMD is a good website but they tend to be a little bit optimistic so don't get your hopes up when they tell you to try Retinol creams.
