What pills or over the counter supplements helps repair worned painful joints?

Question by Jamesr2d2: What pills or over the counter supplements helps repair worned painful joints?
There are many pills with Glucosamine and Chondroitin. Are these the best? Do they work? What brands are best? Many people over age 45 or age 50 have some joint pain that is almost daily, especially if they did hard labor for a living for awhile.

There is also MSM, devil's claw, turmeric and collagen. They can rebuild worn cartilege, as long as there's some left... if the cartilege is completely gone, it cannot just materialize it out of thin air.
Glucosamine and chondroitin should be taken in divided doses 500 mg each 3 times a day.
There are homeopathic remedies like Ruta, Arnica and Rhus Tox that can completely remove joint pain, depending on your symptoms -- it treats the underlying cause.
You can read Asa Hershoff, ND, DC's book Homeopathy for Musculoskeletal Healing for more info. and perhaps see a Homeopathic doctor.
Beats the heck out of pain killers that do liver and kidney damage.

  1. I am taking Nutra-Life MSM Glucosamine with Chondroitin and it is working very well. You ned to know that it takes a couple of months for the effects to kick in though.

For immediate relief, I am using comfrey cream (and I've heard that arnica cream will help too). Also, capsaicin is supposed to be good for relieving arthritis pain, so you could try that too.
